Hey all, I want to try turning some of the harmaline in syrian rue into THH. I remember stumbling upon a thread where someone (was it downwardsfromzero?) who mentioned some success in simply adding ascorbic acid and zinc to a long boil of the seeds. If I remember correctly there was no need for any further work; the resulting tea was safe to drink after filtering. For the life of me I can't find this post again. Anyone know what I'm talking about? I don't want comfort. I want God, I want poetry, I want real danger, I want freedom, I want goodness. I want a clever signature.

I used magnesium ribbon with a mixture of acetic and ascorbic acids on syrian rue tea. The subjective effects were different but I'm yet to confirm that any THH was formed. It could be the case that magnesium salts modulate the experience for all I know. When a further reduction attempt has been performed I'll have a go at separating the THH and report back in one or other of the threads.
