Does anyone know the traditional Paruvian preperation of cactus tea? How does it compare to the pure mescaline?

its basically un-evaporated cactus resin - its very nice if u can get past the taste of the juice.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Is there much purging or discomfort?
Is a lemon boiled with it as well?

Phlux - notice any difference compared to the resin?
I would imagine the tea is absorbed by the body much better, and perhaps more likely to lead to a purge?

to tell the honest truth - im a bit of a purist so iv only had nice extracted mescaline and about 6 traditional cactus brews - no resin.
The tea hits hard and fast - no idea how but on torch(yes torch) i was tripping balls at the 30 minute point, purged then it kicked into gear - tapered off b4 the 2 hour point then the mad amount of mescaline took ahold.

And how was the experience? Were indoors/outdoors, alone/with friend/partner?
Did it ever feel too much?

I am curious.. soon I really want to try a high dose cactus experience.

high dose on the tea - indoors as it wouldnt really matter where i am at that dose and a bed is comfy.
it never felt like too much - the non-mesc alkaloids smoothen it out - it was like a dream, everything was mooving and looked like a live oil paining.

My friend once described an experience on Peruvian Torch that he took in the Colca Canyon in Peru - this place should be visited if possible, astoundingly beautiful, and tens of thousands of huge Trichocereus Peruvianus grow in the canyon and around. Very happy

He camped at the bottom of the valley and just boiled down the outer skin of the cactus over a fire with 3 friends. This was a first time and very amateur effort - it had a god awful taste and the consistency of snot. It was truely awful and the thought of it still makes him shudder! He felt sick soon after ingesting and was puking for about 20 mins. Everyone else was affected but not so badly. The nausia went, and about 1.5 hours into it, it got really interesting.

The peak for him was lying back, closed eyes, and visualising everyone he ever knew or had come into contact with in his life. The web of how their lives paths led to meet each other and how they created each other through their interactions was woven into some kind of fabric in the sky. Each character broke down and became a silver drop of some kind of viscous liquid, suspended across this fabric. The drops coalesced and hung over him for seemingly ages, before falling and penetrating into his chest.

Upon this happening there was an incredibly intense burst of euphoria, love and everything positive he could ever conceive of. The joy and love of all the characters from his life washed over him, and he felt suspended in that place where everything and nothing exist together.

It never felt too much, although it could well have been. He was in such a happy place at that time, I dont think anything could have touched him.

nice

We cut approx 15-18" of fresh cacti each. They were about as thick as a baseball bat (maybe a bit smaller) As I said, this was an amateur brew, but it did the trick. I think the preparation / cooking / outdoor fire etc really added to the experience, and focused everyones mind on the job at hand before it was started.
