Exploring underground psychedelic research in Australia

I'm a postgraduate student seeking volunteers for a thesis project about the impact that state-sanctioned psychedelic research might have upon underground research in Australia. This thesis project contributes to completion of a master's degree in anthropology at the Australian National University.

Have you contributed to unsanctioned psychedelic research in Australia, such as the following?

  • Measuring/classifying subjective experiences
  • Harm reduction protocols or strategies
  • Extraction methodologies
  • Phytochemical and ethnobotanical research
  • Plant propagation methodologies
  • Any other type of research not mentioned.

If you answered yes to ANY of the above, please consider participating in this research project.

Description: This project aims to understand how government-sanctioned psychedelic research in Australia might impact the objectives of, and impetus for, continuing underground research. This will provide greater insight into how underground researchers understand their role in the changing social and political landscape of psychedelic research.

Requirements: You will be required to undertake an interview lasting approximately one hour. You must be over the age of 18 to participate in this study. Participation is voluntary.
