Aloha, on a recent cacti extraction the solvent that was pulled off came out nearly black. Also, when salted with sulphuric acid the water layer came out quite dark. I'm not sure if I should continue with acetone precipitation or base and pull with clean solvent. Any ideas?

If I had to choose one, I'd base and pull again, it should definitely clean it up..

If you want to experiment to increase everybody's knowledge on it, you can do half-half, try the acetone precipitation with part of it, and re-base it and re-salt with the other half, and compare results Smile

I ran a bit through acetone and got a brown goo so I'm going to try and clean it up.

What NPS are you using? That certainly is not normal.
