I remember T.M. talking about this in a lecture, has anyone tried it? (I expect a resounding yes from this community!)  If so what was the herb smoked and what dose? What was the experience like and how long does it potentiate the shrooms for? My friend has some shrooms and has just ordered some various herbs for a changa blend. He was wondering if any of these herbs could be used as the MAOI for the shrooms as well. Thanks Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.

had argentina fresh mu, 20mg harmaline smoked then 20mg harmine smoked - noticable but not intense(this was about 3 hours in tho) sublingual seems best and most economical. antrocles wrote:...purity of intent....purity of execution....purity of experience...

I will try it one night this week maybe..since my mimosa is not here yet..really want to try mushrooms and DMT but I guess mushrooms and some smoked MAOI would be good also.. Long live the unwoke.

Has anyone tried Passion Flower or Caapi with shrooms? Are these as strong as harmine? Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.

Passionflower is VERY GOOD with mushrooms. It's not a strong MAOI so it doesn't boost the trip, but alters it making it similar to ayahuasca. You may remember me as 69Ron. I was suspended years ago for selling bunk products under false pretenses. I try to sneak back from time to time under different names, but unfortunately, the moderators of the DMT-Nexus are infinitely smarter than I am.

Passionflower works great. Caapi works better.
It's exactly like ayahuasca, but a little stronger.
It produces extremely powerfull experiences.

Since sensitivity to harmaloids and shrooms seems to vary in people, i would try to start with low doses of both if i where you.
I take the same amount of caapi as i take for brewing ayahuasca, wich is around 50 grams.
50 grams of passionflower has a very mild effect and is for this reason also very safe.
Shrooms vay so much in strength that mentioning grams means nothing if you don't know how strong the mushroom is.
Generally, cyanensis is about 4 to 5 times as strong in weight as cubensis.
When you exceed doses of 2.5 grams of dried cyanescens, it starts to become extremely powerfull and immersive. Even compared to taking ayahuasca.
I would definately start way below that dose if i where you.

Thanks for the info and the warnings will be heeded. I actually meant smoking an MAOI. My friend has just bought caapi and passionflower amongst a few other herbs to experiment with changa blends. Can smoking caapi or passionflower potentiate a shroom experience, or is the effect only really noticeable when taken orally? (which he doesn't want to do) How much is normally smoked? Just a pipe full? Oh great - the world has just been replaced by elf machinery.

smoking b caapi while on low/mid doses of psilocibe didn't produce an effect for me, but immediately after smoking syrian rue seeds, a friend and i both experienced a rush similar to sub breakthru dmt. it lasted about 10 minutes.
i really want to try this again with higher doses.
