I'm an old-timer - and have always enjoyed Mother Nature.
Even as a little sprout - I enjoyed it all.
Lived as close to the land as possible, always camping, canoeing, grooving on Mother Nature.
Came of age in the 70's - was exposed (at college) to some of MN's more "adult-themed" offerings.
Enjoyed some more than others...enjoyed some WAAAY too much...and still enjoying many to this day ...

Fast forward many moons.

I re-discovered the joys of cactus about a year ago. Not sure why it took so long.
But I am proof that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.
Forums like this provide the information I need to better enjoy our precious gifts.
I've learned so much by simply browsing here and using the knowledge.
Freely sharing this info - helping spread the word... It's all good!

(in case anyone wonders about the username, I was NEVER accosted by a long-haired domesticated bovid. It just so happens that I enjoy fishing from my kayak. Skinny water is the best).

I can only call you an old-timer because I am an old-timer.

I was probably an old-timer long before you were.

So - hello old-timer, it is nice to see you here, looking forward to hearing of your adventures.

Welcome.

Iโ€™m not such an old timer, but definately appreciate the connection between a personal love of nature and the ingestion of traditional entheogens, especially cacti.

For my curriousities sake, have you sampled any of the psilocybin containing medicines the planet has to offer us?

Hi Dexter.

Its been a while, but yes, I have gotten to know our fungal friends rather intimately.
I'm definitely looking to going back there in the future.
I've been mulling it over - no immediate plans but concentrating on cacti at the moment.

Based on the teks I've read, I can do things "clean" enough (I brew beer and culture yeast).
If there are any tips/techniques/teks you feel strongly about, let me know.
I need to expand my horizons (among other things) . . .

I can't really say I feel strongly about it, but what has worked for me, without a hitch, are Cyb's teks, if you are working with DMT.

They are easy to find here, and easy to follow, even for an old guy like me. Plus, lots of people use them, so there's tons of help here.

Can't recommend them enough.
