A few days ago there was a major outbreak of the Mirai worm, causing large internet outages. My router appeared not to be working, and turning it off and back on again didn't work either. I called the ISP and an engineer was (eventually) dispatched. It took nearly a week owing to the widespread nature of the problem.

When the guy finally turned up to sort things out, he poked around for a while and was unable to find any problem with the router. After much searching it eventually transpired that the wiring in my house is so old that the wires had dropped out of the terminals in the junction box. Why this happened to occur during one of the largest ever cyber attacks remains to be discerned Big grin

“There is a way of manipulating matter and energy so as to produce what modern scientists call 'a field of force'. The field acts on the observer and puts him in a privileged position vis-à-vis the universe. From this position he has access to the realities which are ordinarily hidden from us by time and space, matter and energy. This is what we call the Great Work."
― Jacques Bergier, quoting Fulcanelli
