Hi, I've successfully done Cyb's Salt Tek a dozen times, so I do know what I'm doing, still no expert though.

Anyway this time after the solvent and aqueous layer had seperated, the naptha was a dark orange colour.

After Freeing overnight I'm left with a brownish layer, that after leaving to dry for a day or so, scrapes up into flakey brown stuff. Which I'm assuming means that the naptha was riddled with plant oils/fats after seperation.

I'm assuming this brown flakey stuff is still riddled with spice, my questions are.

1) What is the likely reason for this happening?

2) What should I do with this brown flakey stuff in order to get the spice out.

3) I've had this happen once or twice before but have previously just scrapped it and started over, however I want to improve my skills and learn for the future.

Cheers.
