Obviously intezam was trying to clean the verandah, but then we got distracted (AGAIN!) by unplanned babies Surprised

Some p.brachystachys seeds fell into a cup with rain water in late august and we couldn't be bothered since the place they fell into looked kinda dirty. We thought they would rot or loose viability. .

But no, they did not rot, rather like a true water plant, they sprouted under water and even produced leaf blades. So it seems p.brachystachys was designed that way: to shed (some) seed in soil and others into the water, were they will survive for a prolonged time.
On the first picture you can also see some seeds fell into the soil in their original pots, having much larger leaf blades.

Anyway, we will try to safe these babies now. These are some saved ones, the others must wait..Thumbs up

..not everyone can be saved though....Big grin
