Hi all, it has been a while since I was on the forums, however I am requiring a good eye, or I guess just anyone that knows what they're talking about in regards to a mushroom identification.

Here are the pictures:

If it also helps, it was picked in a forest in south Linkoping, Sweden, somewhere around early September. I read the Amanita guide and I'm hoping to consume. I have already dried it out, but I'm wondering if I should take more precaution by also boiling it? if of course it is edible.

Thanks!

I'm no identification guru by any means, but that to my eye is very likely to be an amanita muscaria.
Best to hear a few other's thoughts as well, but I do believe that is what you have there.

I think he is right. Looks like an Amanita Muscaria to me.

Thanks for your responses, I really like to be as sure as I can, so I will await some more replies then consume tonight if all is good.

Good plan.
If you haven't already, maybe go lurk and ask around the identification sub forum at the Shroomery. Those guys will definitely be able to help you reach a proper conclusion.

Ensure they heated, so as to convert all of the ibotenic acid to muscimol.
I`m unsure if I fully did this one time in the past (have only tried Muscaria three times or so).
The results were a cross between poisoning, drunkness and dxm.
It really wasn't great. At times my limbs would simply give out at random, and I would have these bizarre shakes.
It would also play tricks on my mind, such as feeling the pain of having a limb give out, and memory of it happening, before it actually happened. I`m sure it all happened in sequence, but my brain shook the order of mental memory, vision and nerve sensation.
Luckily it went away, but it was pretty scary and freaky.
Be careful, psylocybin mushrooms are faaar better for recreational purposes imo.
