calcium hydroxide to calcium carbonate? Options

how would one do this I read that CO2 can react with it to form calcium carbonate so how would you do this could you use sparkling water,or something else?

Why not just use something along the lines of limestone? While SWIM's not suggesting you actually use limestone, surely you could just find calcium carbonate for sale its hardly an obscure chemical:
