A handful of big (2048x1024 pixels) mandelbrot renderings, done with Ultrafractal.
These examples reminded me a bit of hyperspace. But 2d instead of 4d, impossible to visualize!
Many more were rendered late 2008, more to follow if anyone's interested.

I make fractal art with ultrafractal as well. Just started with it a week ago. Here's a few examples.

Nice ones, nice color palettes!

The world has changed since I programmed a primitive Mandelbrot program on a Commodore 64 in the eighties.. days of waiting for an ugly 160x200 4-color image... but the sense of adventure was great!

I have a large collection by now, more to follow...

hey, i'm very interested in this program but not exactly up for buying it... Did you guys torrrent it? if so, please let me know what site. Ive tried demonoid and pirate bay and both have the program but only the 4.03. version and im more interested in the updated.

Also, if you know of any similar freeware programs let me know. thanks!

I bought it! Got fed up with the watermarks from the demo and just went for the full animation version. Still hurts the wallet...

But there are tons of free alternatives, FractInt if I'm not mistaken is a good one. Search around a bit, there's plenty.
