Dear moderator that merged my thread with this one,

I honestly looked for a myco-pron thread! I was very shocked when I found none, but apparently I need to work on my searching skills.

My apologies for causing you extra work.

Please take this hearty dude as a sign of my appreciation. Love

Love,

Mr. P

No worries...it was poorly titled and buried. I only knew of it from posting a ways back and dug it up via google. Just wanted to have it all in one place.

Love back at ya!

Mr. P...how do you find the galindoi to be? Preference to cubes or others? Are they complimentary, etc?

They definitely have a different character than cubes, but then the only cubes I am very familiar with are PE.

I have actually only done one trip with them, since I have so many varieties. From my experience with them, I'd say they are actually pretty similar to liberty caps, but that could be due to the fact that I think they are pretty close in heredity. They were quite nice, though, more gentle than PE, a bit less boisterous. Yes, that's a good word, PE's are boisterous, and galindois are polite. I do remember I did get a bit of that waviness, where I'd be out there pretty far, and then 10-15 minutes later feel sort of normal, and then be sent out there again. In that way, they seem pretty similar to cubes.

I really should go for another trip on them, damned if I don't have a ton! If nothing else, they are a pleasure to grow. Definitely worth a try if you are interested in trying a new species.

That's it! This weekend I'm putting my shroomin' cap on and going for a hunt down the old patch. This thread has got me thinking about those funky fungi!
