OK where to start.... One of my favs on acid was Tommy by the Who, the whole album, or the White Album- Beatles. Sit in a dark room and listen to the whole album, my visuals used to go along with the music. My favorite Jefferson Airplane was their first- Crown of Creation. And of course I went through my Doors stage. Check out Strawberry Alarm Clock. I don't really like music on dmt but after the peak I put on Iron Butterfly- Inagoddadavida- side 2 the last 2 songs sounded really good a few weeks ago. I'm sure you know about Grateful Dead, and Hendrix... How bout Moody Blues- Timothy Leory. I think it's on A question of Balance.? Well I'll think of alot more once I post this, I'm oldskool so maybe you could fill me in on some modern trip music? I have an overactive imagination, and am certifiably insane. So anything I post is purely fictional.

I'll second The Moody Blues, at least up until around 1972. Any of the earlier Yes or Pink Floyd, King Crimson, early Genesis and Allman Brothers, too. Music is absolutely fantastic under the buzz of the psychedelic vibe. I also like the earlier 1960's tripping music: Beatles, Cream, Jefferson Airplane, Traffic, Jimi Hendrix and The Who. Even a lot of the pop was trippy in those days: Tommy James & The Shondells, Strawberry Alarm Clock, Iron Butterfly and the list just goes on... as does the beat. There is no self to which I cling, for I am one with everything.

IIRC, Timothy Leary, the track, is from 'In Search of the Lost Chord'. I dunno if any of you are aware of a band called The Deep? They made one LP entitled Psychedelic Moods which wasnt that commercially successful but is, IMO, really very good. I am paranoid of my brain. It thinks all the time, even when I'm asleep. My thoughts assail me. Murderous lechers they are. Thought is the assassin of thought. Like a man stabbing himself with one hand while the other hand tries to stop the blade. Like an explosion that destroys the detonator. I am paranoid of my brain. It makes me unsettled and ill at ease. Makes me chase my tail, freezes my eyes and shuts me down. Watches me. Eats my head. It destroys me.

The first, the best The 13th Floor Elevators They never played when not on acid. Obviously in live albums this made for a few misses and many direct hits. For the purpose of a journey, the albums are arranged as such so they work out well. "We're selling more than a cracker here," Krijak said. "We're selling the salty, unctuous illusion of happiness."

Echoes - Pink Floyd... Better yet, almost everything Pink Floyd ever recorded.. "I was going to make a machine, but after reading here in the Nexus, everyone makes it sound like trying to smoke spice without a VG is like trying to have sex without fully formed genitals..." -- Pup Tentacle.

Dark Star by the good ol' Grateful Dead... in my not so humble opinion it defines the genre known as psychedelia... but then i'm a little biased... Thanks Jerry... spinning a set the stars through which the tattered tales of axis roll about the waxen wind of never set to motion in the unbecoming round about the reason hardly matters nor the wise through which the stars were set in spin...
