I loved this!
It reminded me of this - http://www.simulation-argument.com/computer.pdf - for some reason, which I refuse to believe. However, his the logic is flawless, which is very spooky.

Imagine how much of that luck get's wasted when you simply don't seize the day!!!
It's amazing just to find out, so true and so clear that there is no good or bad, only love and fear and that is all we are messing with during our whole human history and WOW that was my first hit. A moment of freedom out of the ape's sealed skin.

Like Descartes, you may exist in your own mind, but that's about it.

Don't get too hung up on it.

And this doesn't even take into account how crazy it is that ANYTHING can exist in the first place.

When factoring in the assortment of subatomic particles needed to create specific carbon atoms, and then factoring in that they need to fuse together to form complex molecules which end up forming DNA, combined with how we humans evolved through a long process of natural selection to be such a specific way in such a specific environment called earth which just so happens to be the only place we can find in the galaxy (currently) that can support our existence, THEN factor in all of history, how if even one event had been slightly different it could entirely negate your existence, well... needless to say it becomes a run on sentence if nothing else Smile

And I thought the odds of someone in the jungle finding the combination of plants containing maoi's and DMT were great, this just blows it away!

This was fun.

I think the hypothetical man in the example is fairly shy and unlucky with women, but the odds are staggering regardless.

Of course, if we are conscious beings who choose to inhabit material bodies, then we existed before these improbable bodies were formed and will continue doing so when they no longer serve our purposes. Furthermore, if these particular bodies never made it to existence, we could always have inhabited other ones.

All of that is assuming that this world is not just a dream...
"Curiouser and curiouser..." ~ Alice

"Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it." ~ Buddha
