So a friend of mine has journeyed with jurema quite a few times.

On all occasions the brew has been a consistent purple/red/brown liquid, He has been able to observe the separation of the sediment and the tea.

On this occasion he brewed 10 grams mimosa root bark, he is using a wok to cook the brew, the wok in question has a non stick coating. although this is not ideal he has used teflon coated pots before with successful results.

The issue he is having is that : the brew is of a black/brown colour, also, whilst boiling he has noticed a slight white foam at times. And the separation is little to none.

Any help or direction would be appreciated, basically i am worried that this brew will be harmful or ineffective. Please forgive my friends disrespect of using a wok.

Thanks

Are you using the same bark as you had for the other brews? Are your filters clogged? Do they collect any sediment at all? Brown isn't necessarily a bad color either.

the said mimosa has been used before, only difference is brewing 10g rather than 3-5 g

i am worried that the pot contains aluminium.

although the pot is magnetic?? wonder if the coating is magnetic hinting that it would be stainless steel, whereas, the actual pot itself could be aluminium.
