Uncle is a gen X professional computer programmer who has had 25 years experience of using THC on a regular basis. He has occasionally dabbled in LSD and also tried Speed, Ecstacy, K, Salvia, Nutmeg, LSA and some other naturally occurring materials for recreational explorations and enjoyment. Recently, he decided that THC is just too expensive to continue his relationship with so started exploring other means of delving into superconsciousness. He found a little site called Nexus where he stumbled upon some very interesting information pertaining to the means of gaining access to new realms of exploration.

Uncle started experimenting with harmalas on their own (as he's a little afraid to take the plunge into hyperspace with Harmala/DMT just yet - although has had several level 2 experiences using Changa) and with each time gradually increasing his intake by 50 mg being very aware and cautious of the complications that have been well documented with the use of these potent MAOI's. It must be noted however, Uncle has never taken any precautions in regards to diet, and often partakes after a few beers - never noticing any adverse effects; a no no according to some sources.

So last night he takes an oral dose of 500mg and after about 45mins, he notices the usual noises beginning to creep in to his audio perception. The sounds remind him of carrier signals and while don't pervade the auditory senses, they are more discreet and are similar to a form of tinnitus; but instead of a continuous signal, it is popping and singing in some random sort of Morse code at very high frequencies. The intensity and volume of this increased over the next 30 mins or so, more than he's experienced in the past.

He decides to go to bed and wait for any further events that may occur.
After a short while with eyes closed, he notices some unusual visual signs that something more than he's experienced before is about to commence. To the right side of the blackness appeared a faint golden/red symbol reminiscent of an Asian glyph or some ancient Aztecan marking. After a few seconds this faded out to blackness once again. Shortly after on the left side of his field of view, out of the blackness a pair of pale blue square borders faded in with what appeared to be a language listed down each like windows on a PC. He was able to will himself a closer look at the characters and as they became clear, he recognised what he was seeing was some sort of computer like program that was running in real-time. Each line contained complex formulas and numbers which were running through variable assignments at an incredible speed. Some of the characters and formulas however were unlike any he'd seen before. They were alien-like and very unusual and could not even begin to fathom what they meant. What he was looking at reminded him of a tracer program that was stepping through executing computer code. This was different only in the amazing complexity of the formulas and other non-recognised symbols that made up each line of 'code' and the speed at which numbers where changing at various positions within the formulas and variable assignments. He had begun to wonder if what he was looking at was the code that was his own 'program' of life. Was he being shown some insight into what it was that made him human - and that he was in fact 'engineered' and executing as some sort of organic computer. He pondered this as the symbology raced through its sequences then as gradually as it had appeared, it faded out to the familiar blackness of closed eyelids. While other faint geometric patterns and symbols appeared and disappeared, nothing compared to the intricate and extraordinarily complex beauty of what he had just witnessed.

After an hour or so, he gradually slipped into unconsciousness and had a very restful sleep.
When he awoke, he remembered what he had witnessed and was very excited at the prospects of future experiments at higher doses... hoping to gain further insight into what it was that he had seen the previous night.

Welcome to the Nexus.
Great description of your experience, and props for exploring haramalas on their own.
A few questions... were your alkaloids extracted from rue or caapi? What tek?
How did you take your dose?
And what sort of body load did you experience?
I get waves with sleepiness in the troughs and energizement at the crests with rue.
500 mg is a large dose for sure.
Best,
L

Thanks for the welcome message... to answer your questions... this was extracted from Rue using the Tao of Rue Extraction found on this site. Dose was taken disolved in a little hot water then added some juice; without the juice previously but the last time gagged at the strength of the taste and wanted to prevent that from occurring again... It was taken about 2 hours after dinner. No nausea (though difficult to get past the tongue with that incredible bitter taste), and funnily enough did not notice any tracers as has been experienced with lighter doses. Will be investigating other means of getting it down in the near future...probably caps. No waves it was constant buzz. Very relaxed when awoke though felt a little heavy like slightly hung over.

You're not alone. I'm a little scared too. My cat has about a half gram that he's afraid to smoke too much of. He's just been playing around with sub-breakthrough doses. It's wise to test the waters before diving in.
