So I vaped the 30mgs of what I thought was DMT that I got from Acacia Cyclops on Saturday, very weird trip, slow come-on (2 minutes after last drag) it lasted for around 20 minutes, no hyperspace, but everything was everything, flowing visions of silky spiderwebs covering everything, a sense of God/Deity watching me. Voices coming out of my hi-fi (I had music playing, but my audio was insanely messed up) Lots of sparkly tinsel floating around. All in all was quite pleasant, but different. I'll def be doing some more work with A. Cyclops. Nothing else to report. (I had a very lazy weekend) Sonorous fractal manifestastions, birthing golden vibrations, that echo through folds of space & time, ferry my soul closer to God

was the 30mg you vaped from combined pulls of those solvents? you can also try (if you have time) the poormans tek, which uses vegetable oil, and see what you get.

Yeah it was from combined pulls, but I did wash it 3 times so I reckon I cleaned off all the oils etc that Xylene and toluene can pull. ..fantastic work PrimalWisdom, you are the A. cyclops pioneer! (1st bio-assay i know of).. the experience sounds like it could have some nmt going on, but also 30mg vaped of dmt (depending on efficiency of absorbtion) can still result in a pleasant but subthreshold trip..

..here's a not yet complete South & Central American Tryptamine Acacias list: Acacia aroma (Bolivia,Peru,Argentina,Paraguay) Tryptamines ref.link Poland herbarium, Acacia caven ( native to Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, and Uruguay) Tryptamines(C. Ratsch; Pharmaceutical Excipients.com) Acacia cornigera (Central America & Mexico) reported psychoactive/tryptamines (Naturheilpraxis Fachforum (German)); C. Ratsch reports DMT; numerous refs to containing alkaloids. Acacia farnesiana (native Central America, naturalized worldwide) Tryptamines, 5meoDMT, phenethylamine Acacia filiciana (Mexico,Central America) reported also used Pulque, not known if psychoactive Pharmamceutical Excipients, Christian Rastch Acacia jurema (Jurema-common) (native to Brazil) where it is used to make some forms of ayahuasca (DMT,NMT) Acacia macracanthahas been mistaken for A. aroma and is a good candidate for tryptamines Acacia rigidula Mexico,Central America)DMT, NMT, tryptamine, amphetamines, mescaline, nicotine and others (Clements et al. 2000, Wikipedia discussion) Acacia tortuosa appears to contain tryptamines (see p12 this thread) i'm pretty sure i've seen a few more listed in ethnobotanical/anthropological works, will search... ps. A. jurema is considered distinct from M. hostilis by many botanists, and is only in Brazil.

I really like the direction this thread is going! The light really is everywhere! No if there was an acacia that contained no DMT or 5-meo but had a solid amount of plain old tryptamine... I don't know if there is a plant I am more interested than that... Maybe one with Tryptamine + Phenethylamine combined hehe When Injustice Becomes Law, Rebellion Becomes Duty

..i've gone on an imformation spree before disappaering for maybe a week to get spiritual with plants.. note i have added constituents & more refs to African Tryptamine Acacias list (p.3 in this thread).. references to Pharmaceutical Excipients.com = a great acacia blog put together by Niazi (good on you, mate!, wherever you are..) ..also, maybe yatiqiri's latest tree is in it's own genus (unusual flowers for mimosa or acacia), so i'll search obscure South American legumes.. ...................................................... when i get back i'll look at Asian/Indian Acacias (which is pretty interesting)..in the meantime, here's a plant list (which i hope will grow) of Pacific Island Tryptamine AcaciasAcacia simplex (synon. A. simplicifolia) (called tatakia in Fiji, tatagia in Samoa, tātāngia in Tonga and Martaoui in New-Caledonia) Stem bark: (New Caledonia) Total alkaloids 3.6% of which 40% N-methyltryptamine, 22.5% N,N-dimethyltryptamine, 12.7% 2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline. Twigs: Total alkaloids 0.11%, of which N-methyltryptamine 26.3%, 6.2% N,N-dimethyltryptamine, 5.8% 2-methyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahyrdo-β-carboline, 1.6% N,N-formylmethyltryptamine. ..trees in Fiji recently tested as also high in DMT/NMT (over 1%); also reported found Argentina.. Acacia richii Previously synon. with A. confusa, found on a number of pacific islands incl. Fiji, tryptamine positive. ..also, an incredibly rare endemic Fijian acacia (50 trees total) tested positive for tryptamines ['J.J.'] Acacia heterophylla is actually from Reunion and the Indian Ocean, but according to above source is also very closely related to A. confusa, hence is likely to contain tryptamines. Acacia koaia is endemic to Hawaii, where it has traditional medicinal uses (skin diseases)..is becoming endangered, needs cultivation. (It is not to be confused with A. koa, used to build canoes & original indigenous surfboards). There have been strong rumours for years that A. koaia contains tryptamines, but if it does no one is saying publically yet.. below are some pics of A. simplex and A. koaia (2 each), ..Aloha... @ nen888 attached the following image(s): Acacia_simplex.jpg (143kb) downloaded 2,101 time(s). Hi, I have recently been looking for plants around my area(Auckland, New Zealand) that contain DMT and have found what I believe to be an "acacia catechu" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acacia_catechu , Which according to some sources https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Acacia_catechu , contain dmt "DMT and other tryptamines in leaf, bark (Trout's Notes)". Can any of you experts tell me whether this is a worth while tree to use, or if anyone happens to know other DMT containing plants around Auckland. Also if I post some pictures of the plant would someone be able to confirm whether it is or isn't an acacia catechu? Any help is much appreciated.

Hey fellow researchers of the light! So I'm a little bummed I got hold of 1kg of bark from A.Cyclops, did an STB used naptha, Xylene, and Toluene again, and got absolutely nothing apart from the weird smelling oils. I think this might be due to very heavy rains recently. But I am also thinking A. Cyclops may be as variable as A. Maidenii. This bark came from an area around 3 km's from the original crystal producing plant. I have the oil drying on a windowsill - hopefully I get some waxy crystals forming? So my next plan is to get some more bark nearer to / from the same plant (they are quite large) and see what I get. Other than that I'll just keep at it with some other Acacia/Mimosa species near me. I am spotting more and more likely candidates daily. Keep up the good work guys! ..hey PrimalWisdom, heavy rain usually results in low (or apparently nil) alkaloid results for acacias, also flowering can produce reduced or changed content..you could try acidifying (eg acetic/white vinegar) during extraction and applying heat, to be sure there isn't something in there.. ..A.maidenii seems to be split along genetic lines (narrower/thicker phyllode is active, wider thinner phyllode almost devoid of alkaloid).. ..keep up the good work (& you've got those 14 african species to bump into as well)!.. ..welcome MyNameIsMatthew323, i have always found New Zealand to be strangely absent of reported psychoactive plants (perhaps due to the late arrival of the maoris and no maoriori left to ask), but i'm sure nature produces light there somewhere.. ..all acacias (as far as i know) in NZ would be introduced (there should be some aussies there).. ..as for Acacia catechu, i was going to look at this one after my break (ha,ha!) with other asian spp.. i don't know of any first-hand bio-assay reports, so i can only recommend probably stem bark & proceed with caution (stick to 20mg for any first bio-assay).. ..by all means send some photos & the crew here can try to help you out with ID...

.. PrimalWisdom, your idea of going back to the original location is good too.. acacias can be polyploid and express different genetic types at different locations.. hey all, here's one more (quite interesting)Central/South American acacia Acacia farnesiana(synon. Vachellia farnesiana) Believed to have been introduced to Australia before European settlement, from Central America (where it is native) via the Philippines. Also found in subtropical and tropical America, Africa and Asia, often being naturalised. Roasted pods of A. farnesiana are eaten by indigenous australians. The foliage and young, green pods are palatable to cattle and sheep. It is cultivated in the Mediterranean for it's flowers in the perfumery industry.
The following compounds are said to be in A. farnesiana: 5-MeO-DMT,Tryptamine,β-methyl-phenethylamine Ether extracts about 2-6% of the dried leaf mass. Alkaloids are present in the bark. says wikipedia: Quote:The bark and the flowers are the parts of the tree most used in traditional medicine. V. farnesiana has been used in Colombia to treat malaria, and it has been confirmed in the laboratory that extract from the tree bark and leaves is effective against the malarial pathogen Plasmodium falciparum.Indigenous Australians have used the roots and bark of the tree to treat diarrhea and diseases of the skin. The tree's leaves can also be rubbed on the skin to treat skin diseases.
..a truly worldwide acacia...

I live on the coast of northern CA. There are many acacia. They look like Madenelli to me according to the pics I see around. I can take pics of the one in my yard and post. They are all around, in wild forests and all along the freeway. There is a 4 ft trunk of an old one in my yard that fell over in a storm about 3 years ago, would it still be viable if I tried to extract from the bark? There are a couple of small trees growing from that old one. I have never extracted before, but have thought about trying with these trees in my yard. So Would I start by peeling some bark of the trunk and stems? Upon return from hyperspace-"Wow I have a body with arms and legs and everything!"
btw-It's all true!
