Beacon, your piece 'through the breach', even if not finished as you mention, is quite nice. I like free structure and the colour, and I like anything that looks like a Francis Bacon-esque face that has a non-traditional psychedelic 'dissolving into something more than baseline reality' look to it. It's is exactly that... Thumbs up

thanks guys. i've been working on it off and on for the last few months. the idea originated from a dream i had where these beings would slowly manifest from hyperspace into our reality - horrible bulldog/human hybrid faces and bodies bloated out of proportion. not quite sure where it's gonna go from here, i'm gonna let it marinade for another couple weeks i think.

and some more mainstream stuff to pay the bills - visuals for Don Diablo's Hexagon music label, mostly involving said hexagons.

Quite a bit more progress, going to give it some dry time then work on the shadows and highlights.

Music is alive and in your soul. It can move you. It can carry you. It can make you cry! Make you laugh. Most importantly, it makes you feel! What is more important than that?

Thank you much, stonedsam. That screenshot is just a partial component of a larger piece. The completed piece is in here somewhere if you look a few pages back.

I'll have a new one for your perusal in about 90 days - hopefully spicier in every way.

Keep up the drawing. That's my motivation as well - working out the never ending circus inside my head. The more you do it the better you'll get. It's a muscle. Work it just like any other and results will improve over time.

Very inspirational this thread isLove full of top shelf work.

Uncle Knucles and beacon:
What programs do you use for your renders and compositions?

I'd like to get back into art, I'm thinking back into airbrushing.

I have seen it, very nice. Does the art you create resemble your perception during dmt?

99% ZBrush for me. Some of the hard surface assets from my last piece were started in Maya, but almost everything I do is sculpted, painted and rendered in ZBrush, then it's all comped together in Photoshop.

As for origins and inspirations, I'll let you draw your own conclusions. Just working out the circus in my head by any means necessary.

I used 3ds max, mudbox, and zbrush in my aspiring game artist days, lol. I liked working in 3d but in the end it just wasn't for me. Beautiful work!

This is just an initial sketch coloured with pencil crayon. It's part of a trifecta I plan on doing in acrylic and airbrushing. The overall set will contain three eyes reflecting the "man made" state, the "natural" state, and the "spiritual" state.

Nice work and I like the idea! Here is a zentangle style drawing I did with influences from the 1943 Hofmann blotter art (where he's on his bike between the moon and the sun. I added the 25 to the droplet of liquid acid instead of the star.
