a bit early for positive speculation,

looks a bit like a young t.peruvianus that is starving for light
looks like a nice cactus to grow...

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

if it is a Peruvianus, and you payed the usual price for Pachanoii, and got 100 seeds, then you got a deal. Torch normally costs more in my experience and you get less, but either way, this looks like a nice specimen so far, definitely one of the two.

when you say regular desk light do you mean incandesant bulbs?

you might be better off with lower wattage Compact Floros( just add a few more bulbs)

they have beter light spectrum for plants, approx 3-4 times by wattage(thats just a guess from memory, dont flame me!)

also,
most of my foafs in Canada use bigger lights indoors during winter, or, let them go dormant till spring(not a good plan with seedlings though)

Orion, be that as it may, many pachanois have far out tested peruviuauns in my garden.
