Is there a solvent the DMT doesn't dissolve into?
Does it effect the ability to dissolve by what type it is, like, DMT acetate, citrate, etc?

Basicly, using the solvent to separate the base from the DMT

Yes different dmt forms (whether its freebase or some or other salt form like fumarate, etc) will have different solubilities in different solvents
