SWIM just bought a bag of garden in a hurry only to discover that it is sold as safer alternative to hydrated lime. It will lower the PH, however it is in brown pellets and is a mixture of 56% calcium carbonate, with magnesium and calcium. Can this garden lime be used for a S/B extraction or should SWIM purchase another product?

Garden lime won't work for an STB. Neither will hydrated lime to my knowledge.
