great articles
gives me some ideas for hplc analysis of dmt content in plant materials, in vitro.

I noticed the proposed mechanisms for dreams/sleep, there were a few errors in that paper. the author mentions that "melatonin, like serotonin, is primarily produced in the pineal gland". while melatonin certainly is, serotonin is actually made primarily in the epithelial cells of the gut. second, the proposed metabolic pathway for the synthesis of 5-MeO-DMT shows a single enzyme catalyzing the reaction from 5HT -> 5-MeO-DMT (5-HIOMT). this is impossible, because a second enzyme (INMT) would need to methylate the terminal amine group...twice. the author suggests this occurs within the pineal itself, however there is no evidence that INMT is expressed in the pineal gland.

I tried to add these papers it in the previous post but things went wrong - The only way I could attach the papers was only if I started a new topic. But it could just be me. Should someone explain me how to transfer my post and how to add add attachments in otber people's post I'm gonna do it right away!
