Had he more quickly realized just who they were,he would have shown them more respect.Had he tried harder to fathom their brilliant minds,he would have taken more of their teachings to heart.Had he more clearly understood the purpose of their being,
he would have more vigorously tried to assist them. They were truly honorable; he was sadly prejudiced.
They were exceedingly well informed; he was grossly ignorant. They were totally indefatigable; he so often, and so quickly, gave up. Still, for many years there was a strong inter-species alliance between the Eleven-Eleven of the Half-way Realm, their Seraphic Associates, and their flesh-and-blood friend, a common mortal. Much was accomplished, many profited, and, there’s only one regret...They could have achieved so much more...

I don't know but I have many pages completely saved as a web page archive. I just used the save as command in safari.

Mods, I don't think there is an offline version of Nexus forums/ Wiki..right? In this case, i think it would def be very helpful to have one. People without internet access could read the important files, and stay in touch with NexusWink But most importantly, people will be able to download this site's contents and have it accessible if the site's server is broken. Also, if in-case, some bastard decided to shut Nexus down (*touch wood*), even temporarily, the offline backup would serve a priceless function..
I'm sure you mods must've thought about this (perhaps you already have an offline backup accessible only to you), but i would love to see a place where any nexian (especially promoted members) can download this offline copy.
would love to hear your thoughts on this..

Currently a full backup of the DMT-Nexus is placed offsite regularly to many different places. This in case the server ever get's 'broken'.

A full offline backup of the DMT-Nexus won't be available to other people since the compressed backup is already over 3GB! When people en masse start downloading this backup the server gets a little bit overused. Pleased

I hope you can understand this.

Kind regards,

The Traveler

then maybe we could make a torrent ? or some of us could upload it in parts to a free hosting website like megaupload ?
you can upload up to 700mb with megaupload.i wouldnt mind uploading parts of the archive.

I forgot to mention that anyone thinking of uploading to these free hosting websites should register themselves to their websites so their files arent deleted.

i see, makes sense Trav, we wouldn't wanna overload the server, and 3GB+ is a big file indeed. What about just the Wiki?

sigmund's idea seems good too. Perhaps the Nexus Wiki could be uploaded to these free-hosting sites, and we can just put the link for it here; anyone who wants to download it can do so through bypassing the Nexus website entirely..wat do ya think..?
