We are coming up to the time for that slow growing genus Ariocarpus to bloom - here is a double headed Ariocarpus bravoanus in flower.

And one of her offspring blooming for the first time - now officially an adult !!!

Here's a new cactus I was recently gifted! It is a Notocactus Scopa silver. I need to re-pot it so it can grow! Smile

...and here's a cool picture I found on the internet. Was it here? Not sure where I saw it... probably somewhere.

The Ariocarpus autumn flower show continues.

A. retusus - white flowers.

My venerable A. fissuratus - about 16 years old.

Pale yellow flowered A. trigonus - the largest member of the genus.

A. scaphirostris - a quite large member of this small species. Just found in one valley in Mexico - possibly the most difficult of the genus.

Seems to be little point in coming here and posting pics nowadays. Nobody ever comes to view - I think I will stop bothering.

I always enjoy seeing your plants Smile

I am more disappointed by the lack of discussion of cultivation and the pseudo-information that gets spread around by people "identifying" san pedro cacti. I wish there was more scientific information about these plants so we could actually know something, but it's all mostly hearsay and conjecture.

Here´s a couple of old venerables - my Pachypodium lamerei - my mother gave me this - it was growing on her bathroom windowsill.

and my Astrophytum myriostigma.

I have had both of these about 16 years. Both about due a repot - NOT a job I am looking forward to.

The bottom cactus is a Gymnocalycium baldianum I think because I got one at the very begining of spring that was flowering and the flowers and tucked in spines look spot on.
Here is the Pachypodium that I was saying I have right now, and I cant imagine all of those basal branch things growing to become like spanish's pachypodium. Very happy

I'm not quite sure how old it is because I picked it up from a home and garden store in August, but it has to have some years on it already or else its just an amazingly abundant grower.
