Hey,

Anyone ever wonder if multiple personality disorder is just a function of your pineal gland/'seat of the soul' being logged into the wrong 'quantum self' for just a bit?? Shocked Or just accessing the other dimensional selfs naturally.....Im sure you get what Im tryin to say.

Kinda like the way I feel on salvia. how I become someone completely different but familiar nonetheless. As if I had existed 'there' forever, while also existing here.

Any thoughts??

My wife has been diagnosed with this disorder/condition for some time now.

No, I believe it is a fracturing of one personality due to severe trauma. Interstingly enough, large doses of mushrooms seem to bring these personalities together.
San Pedro was kind enough to show all parts to each other in a way that was very useful in her recovery.

She has not had the chance to try the spice yet as she is now with child, but at some point she wants to. I am quite interested to see how this will affect her, which parts will be affected, and how they will react, and of course, what they will be shown. We are even more interested in seeing if Mother Aya can be of some assistance.

I am more that delighted to talk about it, what it is, how it is believed to work etc. if anyone else is interested.

Funny, I felt exactly the same with Salvia. DMT brings also some other dimensional/times memories but there is anyway only one 'I' at the time. Multiple personalities are probably a quite different thing. I wonder if a pesonality remember about what another personality do ?

My wife suffered a lot of abuse at the hands of her mother, step father and β€œfriend’s” of her parents. This led to a splitting of her conscious persona. Most therapists now see it as a defense mechanism to keep the mind from having to deal with abuse or severe trauma.

My wife was somewhat aware that something was not right for a long time. She would find that she had holes in her memory. Large chunks of her childhood seemed to be missing as were random times in her day-to-day life. She would pass by a playground and then realize she was in a swing and two hours had gone by. She would come to and find that she had destroyed her room, or not be where she last remembered being.

During our courting days, we frequently enjoyed some of Shulgen's molecules (TIHKAL/PIHKAL). However, none of those were able to do what Achuma (T. Bridgesii) was able to accomplish. On a rather high dose of this wonderful cactus my wife was able to come face to face with these personalities that were causing her to loose time. She has four active alters. The Host (who is usually out and is the person I know as my wife), the child (about 5 years old), the teenager (about 14) , and the protector (unknown age). Due to this awakening of sorts, the memories of abuse that other alters had held became available to her again. This was quite traumatic for her and she spent about two weeks in tears, in bed, and quite depressed.

About this time she sought therapy. A specialist in Dissociative Disorders and trauma was found in our area and has been quite helpful. My wife was diagnosed with Dissociative Identity Disorder (aka MPD) and has become quite functional again. While the therapist cannot ethically/legally suggest that we continue using illegal psychedelic she has been quite interested in hearing how much assistance they have been to my wife. Both my wife and I believe that some of our psychedelic experiences have been more helpful to her than all of her therapy combined. Even the therapist said that it usually takes years before all the alters make themselves know. She was also simply amazed at the intensity and speed at which my wife gained back her repressed memories. It happened so fast that she started having abreactions (literal flashbacks of the abuse, all five senses fully active and aware).

None of her alters have any desire to integrate (become 1 personality again) and that is a-ok with me. It is quite interesting have 4 wives, each with their own interests, desires, likes and dislikes!

Another interesting thing I wanted to mention is that the phenethylamine series (MDXX, 2C-X, DOX, and mescaline) are rather gentle on her system and there is little ego death. However, the tryptamines, especially in higher dosages can really mess her up. It seems that ego death disrupts the system completely and all alters are thrown together (integrated) for a short period of time. While this can be quite confusing and scary for her, it has seemed to help all the alters find common ground where none seemed to be before. She has not yet tried DMT, as she is pregnant right now and all psychedelic experiences have been discontinued for the time being. We are both quite interested in seeing what DMT will do to her system. We are planning on both doing a spice journey shortly after our baby boy is born (and she has healed somewhat from her c-section).

To reply more fully to the original post: while I do not believe that MPD is simply a pinel gland malfunction, it very well may be that it does play a role in the disorder, or maybe it is simply that a psychedelic experience can mimic what happens within a DID/MPD's brain.

wow, thank you, that was extremely interesting.

Definitely post here again after she has had the chance to try DMT.

I've heard of one case of a schizophrenic person being helped greatly by DMT, and while the two conditions are completely different I think it just goes to show how incredibly healing this sacrament can be.

Thanks again.

Without a doubt. It can be very healing, or at the very least enlightening. I'll report back in a few months when she has been able to journey. I'm actually quite excited for her. She used to have this reocurring dream about a woman/spirit hovering over a lake. She would say over and over "danger, warning" in many different languages. My wife actually asked her grandmother about this who speaks some 18 different languages and german, arabic, hebrew, and spanish were some of the ones that her grandmother picked out. My wife does not know any of these execpt a few words in spanish. She thinks maybe she can find this "lady of the lake" again and find out more about her in hyperspace.

I think it can definitely show her something great. DMT allows each and everyone of us access to our own sacred realm when it is treated right.

i'd agree with acalon 5, it seems way more likely to me to have soemthing to do with a part of the brain involving your identity seperating into two parts. i'd imagine something like two apples growing from the same core, or siamese twins or something.

my freind has a somewhat split personality disorder, i don't think it's something serious like he can't figure out who he is, and blanks out or something. but he honestly believes that he's two people, and sometimes he says shit like, "i'm not him, i'm him" or "i haven't seen him in awhile." but he always seems to be the same person, just in different moods. Like me when i'm angry and listening to rock or some violent rap music or some shit, and then me when i'm depressed and listening to jazz. But he seems to distinguish himself as honestly feeling as though he's different or some shit.

he was apparently molested as a child, i don't know it caused him some great trauma. I do know he's always had severe issues with his family. Like a up/down sort of thing. I think he's really close to his mom, but he describes they're relationship as almost though sometimes she just disappears and that his whole family couldn't care less. He's not exactly a tough kid, but on top of that his family made him go to highschool in liberty city in the worst fuckin highschool.

I don't know, maybe somewhere in his life he needed some sort of different identity to deal with the shit he had to deal with or some crap. If when he was a kid one day he thought a part of himself was someone else, and then it intensified or something, then throughout his life he become more isolated and involved with that, especially if he went to 4 years or school with a bunch of violent murderers and shit and ended up not talking to anyone the whole time.

anyway, i'd see the whole two things splitting from one but not completely seperating deal. you know? alright... peace

My wife refers to herself as "we" frequently (at least at home).

We (as in my wife and I) are hoping so...but we are also approaching it with a little caution. Ego bending (much less shattering) tryptamines have a tendency to really screw with her system. I am hoping that the short duration will help make it into something managable.

I personally want her to have a wonderful first encounter. I think that spice can be a very healing experience.

good idea

It's really hard to gauge how a psychedelic state will effect a person with a mental disorder.

Maybe we all kinda have this ability. A little tiny bit. Think of the last time you really screwed up and had to eat crow big time. Or when something super-shitty goes down. You can sometimes 'detach.' Or when an athlete or musician or potter or whatever is 'in the zone' they are not the same person they are when they're playing with their kids. You can feel it shift sometimes, sometimes you cannot. I believe psychedelics can heighten awareness of such internal personality shifts in all of us.

To an outside observer a single human being can seem to be a totally different person depending on his or her mood. Maybe the difference is in the continuity of experiencing your states and moods.

Very interesting. Thanks for sharing acolon and tony.

i see where your coming from, i talk with myself too, i call myself bro, and somtimes say we...
ive noticed psycedelics trigger these many different personalities that are within us all..
I sometimes get pretty moody too, on full moon nights im always at my best..

yes, but in those situations you can tell that it's happened, with a split personality people seem to detatch from being that same 'person.' they think they're completely different.

have you or your wife ever done meditation? you should look up vipassana and s.n. goenka, it's cool meditation that mostly involves observing your breathing and sensing sensations.

Yes it is believed we all do have this abililty.

Dissasociation is a scale, with serious life-impairing detachment at the far end of the spectrum, minimal detachment at the other end and the adverage person in the middle.

I have meditated for several years. I use a technique taught by Eknath Eswaran. I have tried some of the breathing/focus meditations, but have found one that I am quite comfortable with.

My wife sometimes does visualizations, but not on a regular basis.

We are actually thinking about turning one of our rooms into a meditation room. I am hoping we will both be able to meditate on a daily basis.
