so, after 4 naphtha pulls i decide to do a xylene pull for fumarates.... my last naphtha pull was pretty low-yielding so i figured i'd pretty much got all the magic outta my soy sauce...

i dunno...you tell me.... Pleased

i wound up cleaning these up (although i like a nice full-spectrum jimjam fumarate). either way, CHECK OUT THESE CRAZY CRYSTALS!!

you got yer sticks, yer clusters, some crazy perfectly square crystals...it's like psychedelic trail-mix!

i thought it looked particularly cool so i figured i'd share...

MUCH LOVE AND GRATITUDE!!

uh-oh, spaghettio!! I just revealed my age!

(as a sidebar, my 16 month old son's first words were , believe it or not -uh oh spaghettio!! Followed shortly by papa...)

but i hijack your thread...

Did i mention what i really think of your fumarate crystals:

"they're GRRRREAT!!"

you're a little younger than me, but i think you'll get that one.

Have a JBArk and a smile!

So Ant, we have bike racing, dmt, writing and now a love of silly 70's and 80's jingles in common... Strange strange world!

Very very nice. What technique did you use to get crystals like that using xylene? As far as I knew, xylene just ends up with a goo.

connect four.

"i win"

"where?"

"here...diagonally."

"pretty sneaky sis..."

Pleased

fnog- it's wierd, i didn't do anything particularly different here. i found a vendor that was having a special on MHRB. 6 lbs for $250. it came in a dozen 1/2 lb. packets. i figured it was a sign that i should experiment with a lot of different teks, using a packet for each.

i did A/B, STB, BLAB.... these babies are the result of a STB tek. did two 200ml xylene pulls (unheated). i did do 2 sodium carbonate washes and 1 water wash on the xylene before adding the FASA.

it actually didn't look like much crashed out i actually thought i had fugged up and washed out my magic with the SC. Confused

i let it sit for 4 days and then poured it off to find some gunk and some crytall-ish stuff at the bottom. i dried it, scraped it, put it in a jar and added water. swished it around and poured that into an evap dish under a fan. took two days to evap the water and this was the result.

i actually was sad to scape it up! i wanted to frame it and mount it on my wall Pleased

Antrocle's got a big, big bite...

L&G!!
