Hello Nexus,

SWIM has just gone out and purchased a few necessary precursors in anticipation of his MHRB arriving. He just wanted to confirm that the ingredients which he purchased are suitable for extraction. I am posting on his behalf. He is using Q21Q21's A/B tek.

Ronsonol Naphtha fluid (this is certainly correct)

Clear/White Distilled Vinegar- is this correct? He had a number of vinegars at home such as wine vinegar, balsamic, etc. but wanted to get something plain. The supermarket had White Distilled Vinegar available in large jugs and he figured this was it. According to the label it appears to be diluted with water and possibly a small bit of alcohol.

Garden Lime- Unfortunately he couldn't find any pickling lime at the market and went to Home Depot to search for Gardening Lime. He picked up the following product:

Espoma Organic Garden Lime

The confusing part is that it is pelleted, not pulverized. He expected a powder and for a clear label that said something like Ca(OH)2, however the label reads:

Guranteed Analysis

Calcium
Magnesium
Calcium Oxide
Magnesium Oxide
Calcium Carbonate
Magnesium Carbonate
Calcium Carbonate Equivalent
Lime Score - 96

Espoma Garden Lime is the finest grade of pelletized dolomitic limestone available. It's fine pellets spread easily, react quickly and do not pose the harzards associated with hydrated lime.

So what do you think? Appreciate any feedback.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

the lighter fluid and vinegar are def correct. you should consider getting some VM+P Naptha though. you can get it at any Home Depot i believe, or at least thats where SWIM got his. from what SWIM has read the Ronsonol fluid is vastly inferior.

the lime i am not certain of, someone with more knowledge should answer that. SWIM found pickling lime via amazon and it was VERY inexpensive. i also found out with a bit of searching that the same lime is used as an aquarium treatment. it appears to be the same thing (if i am wrong someone please correct me), only ALOT more expensive. you could probably find it at any pet store, or possibly some larger stores with pet sections.

best of luck with SWIY's extraction!

sorry buddy, seems that lime isn't quite right.

SWIM found the MSDS and it says it is calcium carbonate and magnesium something.
http://lawn-and-garden.h.../garden-lime-508921.aspx

SWIM personally searched at least a dozen stores before finding one that had it.
"Home Hardware" sell his.

The naptha is right, SWIM recently found that the small 9 hundred something milliliter tins of Escort Camp fuel are just as good as ronsonol but cheaper.

Vinegar is right too.

SWIM feels you, but his freezer is full of sparkling white it works, he's just honing the tek and updating the page.

Good luck
Q21Q21's Tek: A comprehensive guide to extracting DMT
The 2 teks use non-toxic lime and vinegar and Tek 1: d-Limonene or Xylene or Tek 2: Naptha to produce very quick high yields with the greatest of ease.

I am almost never on this site anymore so I will likely not answer PMs

Thank you both for your swift responses. Random was kind enough to provide me with a link for SWIM to buy the correct Lime online.

The folks at Home Depot were surprisingly very unhelpful and had never even heard of Naphtha. When SWIM mentioned that he just needed some for lighter fluid they pointed out that butane was the only option. Sure enough after searching every aisle at Home Depot, only butane and propane could be found.

Thanks much and take care!

I agree, HOMe Depot does not hep anything. SWIM has made many trips there and they are dumb as a doorknob over there. They didnt even know what a PH tester was. I personally use Ronsonol and it seems to be working fine i will also try to hunt down some VM and P.... ]

You can get hydrated lime (Calcium Hydroxide) at Home Hardware but I dont know where to get limonene... Good Luck!!
- - - SWIM is a friend that lives in a place where DMT is legal. I will not disclose his indentity for security purposes- - -

The local Home Depot only stocks VM&P in the paint thinner section. Of course, no one knew where it was that worked there, and one looks mad sketch asking for "lighter fluid... or paint thinner... or..." Razz

What about Bonide brand Hydrated Lime? on the MSDS, the reactivity is different, almost all of section III is different but section II names three compounds, which (am I right on this?) are combined somehow to make the "Calcium Hydroxide" that appears in section III: Calcium Oxide, Silicon Dioxide (used for anti-caking i think), Magnesium Oxide. If you google "Bonide hydrated lime MSDS" it's the first result. What do folks think? It should also be noted that the MSDS for Calcium hydroxide's Wikipedia page lists different ingredients from both.

sorry for no links, wasn't sure if I need to be using an anonymizer or not?

So a friend of mine SWIM JR tried make this stuff from a rip off of Q21Q21 great Tek (As was shown to him later had much more depth to it. So helpful. Really.). They said you could use Garden Lime and it was all he could fined. All went as planned but something went wrong in the recrystallization. Crystals formed like see in pictures (It SWIM JR first time doing any such thing.) but once Naphtha was drained off well crystals melted at room temp. He left it out and came back later and Naphtha evaporated and nothing was left in jars (No crystals. Well... there was a speak like less the a grain of sand.). He hopes now with Pickling Lime that this new batch something will come out of it.

SWIM JR was wondering if wine vinegar is good enough or should he go buy some stronger stuff?

The pickling lime is the most difficult to find for most people because we are thinking "chemicals"... I buy my hydrated lime at the same grocery store I get my food at. Look around any major brand grocery store and look for canning jars (Ball or Mason type)... in that same area you should find many home canning items such as spices, paraffin wax and Pickling lime...

The VM&P can also be found in almost all major home improvement stores, but you have to wonder through the paint departments. Some times there is an Isle to its self other time's in adjacent displays.

Asking the staff about brands even items is often more frustrating that seeking it out your self. Just like NaOH, it is generally somewhere in the plumbing department but if you ask for it you'll surely be sent on a goose hunt.

Bonide brand Hydrated Lime does not appear to do the trick - wonder why? I hear Ingles grocery stores carry pickling lime at about $2.50/lb and those stores are all over the southeast US just in case folks are stuck and don't want to buy online.
