Hey y'all so I recently watched the Vice episode on exploring Australia's psychoactive flora.
sorry if this is a waste of space..

1. guy claims there is MDMA and MDA in Sassafras trees.

2. At 3 minutes in he points to a patch of Dactylis Glomerata and says it's Phalaris Aquatica.

Live plants. Sustainable, ethically sourced, native American owned.

He doesn't claim there is MDMA and MDA in the Sassafras tree, he says that Sassafras tree (Sassafras albidum) contains oils that once refined (safrole) can be converted via chemical process to obtain MDMA/MDA which is true. I would disagree with him saying its a 2 stage process to turn safrole to MDMA/MDA, because the route is usually safrole -> isosafrole -> MDP2P -> (reductive amination with nitromethane; Al/Hg) MDMA/MDA. He didnt said the grass was Phalaris Aquatica, he said a Phalaris grass (Phalaris is a genus of grasses).

Sorry I'm the deceiver here
Went out of my way to point out BS

In regards to the MDMA, they say there's "MDMA butterflies", that's what I'm saying is disinformation.
There is no MDMA in the sassafras tree.

And you're right @ the entity, he did not say "Aquatica". Still, that's not a patch of any Phalaris grass.

I'm curious as to how a company like Vice can have so much money for production but so little time spent
on making sure their info is clear.
