Hello,

someone said here to me that you must not clean extracted dmt with ammonia afterwards.

But I read to do this in this famaous tek: https://wiki.dmt-nexus.me/Marsofold's_tek

Chill a bottle of NON-SOAPY clear Ammonium Hydroxide(Ace Hardware Janitorial Strength Ammonia) in a refrigerator. Slowly pour 35ml of the cold ammonia over the crystals (still in the filter paper) to wash them.

Remove the filter paper from the funnel, spread it out flat and allow the crystals to COMPLETELY dry out. You will now have 2-1/2 grams of white crystal DMT.

So the crystals smell now like ammonia. Can anybody confirm that it had to be a mistake if the dry crystals smell like ammonia afterwards? Or is it ok to smoke although? How to prevent crystals from smelling like ammonia after cleaning them with ammonia?

OR is it really not recommended in general to clean the crystals with ammonia?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Omitted means do not do this. Your quote is saying do not wash with ammonia. Dated means old... an ammonia wash was old advice 8 years ago.

Instead of ammonia, you can wash your crystals wice ice cold fresh naphtha. Washing with the same solvent used for crystallization is a good general practice.

I tried ammonia wash earlier but there is no big gain.

The ammonia smell will go away over time.
