Hey now, no sourcing talk.
That being said, I have no experience with truffles, but have kept dried shrooms in the freezer for 2-3 months and never noticed a real drop in potency

Normally there's a date of expiration, or "do not consume after..." statement on the box or package they come in. But since you said they smelled fine i assume you've opened it and have maybe thrown the original packaging away?
I don't know what's the worst that can happen. I suppose a food poisoning of some sort. In that case you won't be having such a blissfull experience.
It's up to you ofcourse, but i think 46 days is pushing it. Considering you have already opened the packaging.
The best way to store shrooms is to just dry them. Way better than freezing even.

Do you mean 4°C or -4°C? That's a very warm freezer either way.
If you kept them in a plastic container for a month and a half with foil rather than something absorbent, it seems likely they are spoiled and possibly molding... but I think you know that..?
