SWIM recently got started some lophoras from seed. He did the light wrong at first(not enough) and they grew slender as they reached for the lights. They haven't really gotten any plumper at all. SWIM recently took of for the weekend and accidently forgot to set his lights so they would be timed. They were on the whole time. The loph's seemed to respond positively though, they got a bit fatter. Should swim just run with this for a while, see what happens? You lock the door, and throw away the key

what kinda lights are they fluorescent, I would give them at least a 2 hour break a day.

How long did you have the lights on before? I'm sure they wouldn't mind 16-18 hours maybe decrease the light slowly by an hour,or 2 and see how they react most plants do benefit from and need a little dark period.

I had em on 12/12 before. I got it set to 20/4 right now. I'll fool around with it, but I definately think 12/12 was to little now. You lock the door, and throw away the key

Cacti need a period of dark or they will get fucked up. I can't remember why... but it could be as little as 3(?) hours or so.... I'd guess...
