Hi all, I have been reading the forums and learning alot thanks for providing a good comunity for this stuff.
SWIM has recently collected some Acacia Colei bark but not alot of information can be found about DMT and this species of acacia, except that it contains DMT and not much else, although i did find some reference to it containing 0.5-1% DMT i also have another source quoting "Acacia colei in fact has approximately 3% w/w DMT which can be easily extracted" although i dont know what w/w means. So i guess my question is: What should i expect the potency to be like, and would living in an extremely dry/hot climate have any effet on this? Also, If i use d-limonene for my solvent in the Loki tek will i have to change any of the other chemicals to suit it?

A huge thankyou to anyone who can take the time to educate me i really apreciate your input.

It's fine, no worries. w/w means weight by weight. 3% w/w means 3 grams of dmt in 100 grams of plant material. Or 3 ounces of dmt in 100 ounces of plant material, etc.

Now, it's hard to believe that "3%" claim, do you have a reliable reference for that? SWIM has no experience at all with Acacias, but he'd be happy with a 0.1-0.5% content of dmt (if that's consistent of course!)

Also, limonene will be able to pull other alkaloids other than dmt that may not be good to smoke. SWIM does not know whether Acacia colei has other alkaloids. It'd be a better idea to stick with naphtha which tends to be more selective for dmt.

hope that helps!

thanks heaps mate. my reference for the 3% claim is here: http://www.abc.net.au/sc...amp;a/notes/051027-9.htm
I read somewhere that it has 99% dmt alkaloids and very little else, no sources have specified any alkaloids in this species apart from DMT. but ill just use the naptha equivelant to be on the safe side though.

Ferfuchssake, this source is most certainly not reliable at all!!!

Just look at the text. It is full of grammatical errors and poor syntax. If this guy writes "aboriinal", "acaia", "ins" "iahuasca", "comined", "compund", "crating", etc to mean "aboriginal", "acacia", "is" "ayahuasca", "combined", "compound", "creating", then he may as well write 3% to mean 0.000000003%!
