Coco Chanel established the brand as a hat designer for English socialites in the first decade of the 1900s, and this year baseball caps are worn with the same decorum. The creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, is himself a whimsical character, as refined as medieval aristocracy and edgy as a futuristic cyberpunk, at 83 years old. The collection is surprisingly youthful and visionary. Plus the soundtrack is really good.
