Hey, was just wondering if it would be possible to clean up slightly oily DMT freebase with Methyl Alcohol (Methyl Hydrate) but am not sure of the solubility in said solvent. Any feedback appreciated, thanks! Would test, but lacking excess spice and waiting for evap at the moment.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

No. DMT is very soluble in methanol (Methyl Alcohol).

Hmm am I missing something here then? I thought that that would mean that one *could* clean it with methanol due to DMT's solubility in it, leaving behind the oils and evaporating the methanol later on... Is this incorrect?

No. Most things are highly soluble in methanol. It's one of the best overall solvents. It's not at all selective. It will dissolve pretty much everything.
