i might have the opportunity to try DMT! i am excited... but; i ask what should i do to prepare? i'm considering doing it in a safe place in nature with a trip sitter. anyways; i'm humbly accepting this journey. i'm not sure how it will go but when i go to the otherside i will come back and let you all know what i went through https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5kPYor3zGw

Safe travels my friend! Trust the unfolding experience and surrender to it. Allow it to guide you through the finite universe you perceive. Being within nature is good place with another. Be comfortable and be with someone who cares, too. Remain calm and be attentive of what you see, feel and hear. Your report shall be read. 'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'
Skip the manual, now, where's the master switch?

I've always felt that being able to meditate, i.e., letting go of ego-reactions to phenomena & just letting "be" what "is" & passively observing with an open heart & mind is the best way to engender a beneficial trip. And, as Cognitive Heart stated: Safe travels my friend! May peace be with us all. Freedom's so hard When we are all bound by laws Etched in the scheme of nature's own hand Unseen by all those who fail In their pursuit of fate

If you have a meditation practice then sit for a few minutes and try to clear your mind. The goal is to go into this with no expectations.. because there simply is no way you could ever fathom what it will be like. Just accept that you are going to go on 15 minute journey and trust in your wetware and your sitter to watch after you. When you have yourself calmed then set your intention to just observe. Take your hit. And lay back on the ground. I prefer closed eye journeys, but open eye are interesting to.. but I believe the closed eye journey's are deeper... Peace.. oh and come back and let us know how it went. If your religion, faith, devotion, or self proclaimed spirituality is not directly leading to an increase in kindness, empathy, compassion and tolerance for others then you have been misled.

Good luck man. I wish you a good trip and i wait for your report. I'll be on my first trip if i get to make a full extraction in 2 weeks aprox. Good vibes from here. Cheerz "The possession of Knowledge, unless accompanied by a manifestation and expression in Action, is like the hoarding of precious metals - a vain and foolish thing. Knowledge, like wealth, is intended for Use. The Law of Use is Universal, and he who violates it suffers by reason of his conflict with natural forces." The Kybalion.

glad to hear that you guys will listen to my experience also; it might be awhile so if you guys want to hear how it went i'd subscribe to this post so you get notifications through email. basically me and some friends are going to chip in to extract some DMT and we're all sharing mutually. i don't know the people who will be helping out with the extraction but from what i hear they want to try DMT. i'm thinking about setting some conditions if i share extraction knowlege (i don't have experience; but i do have knowlege!) i'm going to simply ask that they use the dmt-nexus, never sell dmt; rather share it or use/extract it yourself, and i'm going to ask them to be careful about introducing it to other people. basically i see this as a good opportunity to ask them to respect what DMT is. is there any advice you guys would like to give to the group in general who will be trying this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5kPYor3zGw

Also; is processing stress/difficult emotions different from staying away from stess? as in; would it be okay to self reflect on stressful events with an open minded attitude? because part of me is using this for personal insight and emotional healing while another part is doing this out of a sense of journey and "finding myself". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5kPYor3zGw

I don't know what you're psychedelic experience is, or how you intended to use it, so I'm going to make assumptions, hopefully you may find something useful. I've found that different psychedelics are good for different things. LSD is a psychoanalytical tool with spiritual overtones. Psilocybin is a spiritual tool with psychoanalytic overtones. DMT however, is the root spiritual exp, the awakening of kundalini, the rising of the serpent, the inner space vehicle to the void, the death button. I've found that going in with specific intent just overloads me. I go in, there's the flash, things are crazy, I'm astonished, but instead of being able to shut up and let go, find myself remembering that there's something I'm supposed to do. I can never recall what it is though. So i just put an intent into the trip to help me. To help me be a better man, a better human. That simple thing is very big, and positive. It is always answered in some way that the slice knows better than i how to do. In the days after is where the real work is, during integration. Please come back and share your initiation. Something i allways encounter while not having smoked dmt for a while / and even my first time. Is this huge feeling of being scared of the experience, even with all the trips i did so far. But the moment i actually start to inhale it fades away, the fear will be gone when the trip starts, and when it ends, i cannot wait to do it again ... So it can happen that for days and months i do not feel self assured enough to smoke dmt because of some reason i dont exactly understand, but when i take the step, i can't stop loving it and get in this loop and spent hours of the day doing dmt. I heard McKenna saying that it doesnt work when you smoke it within half an hour or so of the previous trip, but it works for me, wait 10 minutes and i get back to hyperspace.. I hope you will have a good smoking method, like 'the machine' or something and just keep inhaling untill you are there Because my first times i wasted too much on lightbulb methods etc.. I think if you are ready to see some bizarre things, i guess the dmt will guide u to this hyperspace and you just have to follow it because it is you that want to learn the experience, you cannot change the trip but you can change the feelings u have, being with or without fear, totally open or closed for whats to come. so i guess its important to let go of other thoughts, and u will be rewarded for that i am sure! and i would do it alone ( if experienced with other psychedelics ) or maybe just 1 sitter that is in another room ( when i smoke it with someone around in the same room, i cannot focus totally on the dmt trip ) Anyway it will be your experience, and yours only, and probably a wonderful one if you show the respect it deserves, it shows you its capabilities. Enjoy your flight! Let us declare nature to be legitimate. All plants should be declared legal, and all animals for that matter. The notion of illegal plants and animals is obnoxious and ridiculous.

Good luck with your first trip, I can only echo the comments of others here and that is to stay calm and focussed and surrender to the experience. Admittedly this is easier said than done as I failed to do this on my first experience! Just be prepared for things to change very very quickly, there's no time to acclimitise so expect things to change quickly and let yourself go, and just remember that as strange things are going on that its only DMT and that you want it to happen

Never tried the spice myself, slowly working on acquiring all the equipment and plants. As for the preparing: If you ever tried psychedelics before and know, what it's like to be disintegrated in the inner chaos, my advice would be, as other suggested time and time again, to approach it as calm as possible. And I mean in the way that to deeply think about it for a few weeks to firure out, whether you're actually ready for this. As someone who's been disintegrated in a psilocybin chaos and emigrated to another country while leaving everything behind and suffering from lyssophobia due to having a forementioned expreience of disintegration, trust me - I can't express enough, how important and truthful the line about "paying the bills" on the Attitude page is and what a deep meaning it encompasses. It really does come first - the world we live in and our sanity are the first things at any cost. If you're ready and you're absolutely sure about it - then I wish you all the best.
