For small creatures such as we the vastness is bearable only through love.

The fate of our times is characterised by rationalisation and intellectualisation and, above all, by the disenchantment of the world.

not something you can see with the naked eye alas, but you get my drift.

My soul is longing for a night full of stars. It'S like beeing forcefully removed from a part of nature, from the enigma of eternity puring through my mind at night when I gaze upon the countless stars...O I'm so thirsty!

SWIM was born in a tiny town in Idaho, beautiful skyline, more stars then at dusk than SWIM can see now with no moon and a clear sky. When SWIM went to a little country called Iraq there were absolutely no city lights close or lights on the base after dark. With no moon it was so dark that even NVGs (night vision goggles) wouldn't work. The first night SWIM looked up it literally took his breath away.

SWIM can imagine ancient peoples looking up at the same star filled sky feeling the same humility finding the same simple beauty.

It always makes SWIM think how utterly insignificant he is to something like that?

Why can't the supernatural just be, natural? After all, supernatural is just a term for aspects of nature that we do not understand...

Listen to your heart, it's telling you you're homesick for a place you've never been
