A female friend of mine is interested in taking Iboga, and we are wondering if this medicine is female friendly. I ask this because of the experiences and stories that have found their way to me regarding Salvia being a feminine plant and freaking males out, or some say even aya is a feminine energy. Traditionally its only the male biwiti that take the holy wood, is this correct?
Some of the recorded fatalities have been women, so i'm just a little cautious, but I can't imagine why the spirits would be sexist.
Please let me know if you know of any females who have taken ibogaine and how their experiences/benefits went.

Iboga is perfectly safe for females, but interestingly they to tend to be a lot more sensitive to it than males, so caution when dosing is advised. As far as I know both males and females ingest iboga in a traditional Bwiti setting. I wouldn't pay too much heed to the apparent gender of teacher plants, while to some people they make take on a form of gender in personality, they are all still suitable for both human genders.
