In the first guide of the acid base, it says to use 1lb mhrb to 3.5 quarts water to 1 pint vinegar.
If I only had gallon sized containers, what ratio should I use?

I think running a whole pound through in one go is a lot of effort and risky.

If you look at The DMT Handbook you'll notice 4.5 pounds per cook is used.
Ideally I would of thought a STB would be more suitable and easier when using MHRB..
