When one has a negative reaction to ayahuasca, is it possible that the experience may cause one's body to react differently to certain substances, such as THC, if they were ingested in tandem with the ayahuasca? I've noticed that my first reaction to cannabis after smoking it is panic and anxiety, and has been the default bodily reaction I've experienced to it since my aya experience - I've never had these reactions before the experience, as cannabis was a normal part of my day-to-day life, and I wanted to know if anyone else has had a similar problem. Panic and anxiety from smoking cannabis extends well into the next day, but I can't find anything about this specific reaction.

If it's relevant, it was the same aya experience referenced in this topic: Chronic chest pain after Rue/Mimosa Ayahuasca

I don't know about weed and ayahuasca specifically, but I do know that previous drug use can influence your next drug use. After I had taken mdma for a couple of times, I could sometimes get into an ecstasy-like euphoria on mushrooms.

Do you have any updates on your chest pain?

The chest pain's still around, but I've had it checked out and it appears to be stress related, possibly in conjunction with heartburn; it's not cardiac in nature, which is a relief.

As far as drug use is concerned, I had tried LSD once and shrooms twice, all of which were enjoyable experiences. Hence, aya was my first and only "bad trip". I've been struggling to find an explanation for my negative reactions to cannabis, since I haven't found any record of similar reactions on the Internet, and those around me more or less don't believe me. I don't think it's chemically rooted, since the friend I took the aya with never developed that sort of reaction, but without anything to prove or disprove that hypothesis, I can't be sure. As far as I can tell, it might be a mental association of the chemical with the anxiety/panic attacks I experienced during my aya trip, though again I can't validate that claim.

Did you smoke while under the influence of the Aya? If this is the case, it would of become much stronger due to the MAOI in your system. This would also increase any side effects, such as anxiety and fear. It is actually a common response to THC in a lot of people. Thats usually the case when people dont like using marijuana, is that it causes these side effects, or just puts them to sleep.

If you did indeed smoke while under the influence of the Aya, and had a bad experience, your mind could just be associating your experiences from now on to that one bad experience. Especially if it was extreme enough. You smoke the weed, and start feeling it, which reminds your brain of how you felt under the Aya influence, and your mind starts getting paranoid thinking that this bad experience is going to repeat itself.

I would suggest taking a break from the MJ. Take a few weeks off from smoking, or eating it for that matter, and then slowly get yourself back into it if you feel the need. If your having bad reactions because of your mind connecting it to that one bad experience, a break from these feelings may help bring that connection back to normal, or eliminate it.
Everything published by Gone-and-Back are the mad rantings and ravings of a mind who yearns to be free and thinks he knows what he is talking about. However, these are just delusions made to feel that freedom, because that freedom will never come. Any experiments done are purely figments of the imagination, and are falsified to the highest degree. Nothing should be taken seriously from a crazy mans mind.
