I don't understand the question. You are referring to Peganum harmala? Grinding is simply that, take the seeds and grind them up. Baking and oven temperatures don't come into play with P. harmala. Typically you just grind the seeds and boil them in water 3 times for 30 minutes, combine the boils and reduce for drinking or further processing and extraction.

in my experience not baking something whole like a seed first is going to murder my grinder. so admittedly I havent tried it cuz I don't want to ruin my grinder. If you say this is not an issue you will assuay my concerns and I will try it, thanks.

I've never had a problem with rue seed breaking a grinder, I usually use a blender personally. If you were to bake the seeds I would be concerned about the temperature destroying the alkaloids. You could always do it the old fashioned way with a mortar and pestle too if you have a lot of free time lol.

or I could just buy a new coffeegrinder for 12 dollars probably. I use a mortar and pestle to break up leaf after it's dried and chunky and needs to be broken up though, lol, works great. EDIT Quote:I grind them in my $12 coffee grinder... no problems Smile I didn't see this till after I posted.
