Hey all,

I couldn't find an answer for this with my searches...I'm sure there's a point when doing an naphtha extraction (MHRB in my case, for example) when the amount of DMT saturated into the naphtha is so high that the naphtha can't possibly absorb any more DMT.

Does anybody know how much that point might be? I'm just thinking, if there was a way to absorb 500mg of DMT into 100ml of naphtha, that would be awesome if we had the best tools to seperate it cleanly without dirtying up the batch or obviously wasting any of the precious goods. It might be far beyond whats extractable from any single batch for all I know, but even so it would be cool to find out.

Thanks for your guidance!

It's somewhere in the 1g per 30-40ml range, so you should be able to fit 2+ grams into 100ml of naphtha.

Wow, interesting. That makes me wonder what the best way to do minimal naphtha + maximum pull would be. I'll scope out all the teks I can find and might have to get some more MHRB for testing. Thanks!

What's your goal? I always just use more naphtha than there could possibly be DMT and do a few pulls to make sure it all goes into the naphtha.

To be honest, it was curiousity of the moment. It'd be a while (if ever) before I could test it, but after further thought & application of common sense lol, there's not a lot of need to reinvent the wheel. I was just thinking...if there was a way to use just a tiny bit of naphtha to get a lot, the potential to get quite the impressive freeze-precip might be there. But I'm feeling zero inspiration to test it right now, no telling if it'll actually happen or not.

imo, it would probably work better to just evap some of the naphtha off before freezing.

Hi, I just want to point out, that while I do not off hand know the details of saturation points, that due to the nature of filtering the naptha through the basified plantmatter solution, it's difficult to super saturate the naptha during the pull and as such multiple pulls are generally necessary, but I'm not sure.

However, while some method for super saturating the naptha while pulling would result in less consumption of naptha, evaporating it off first, before precipitating it, IS super saturating it.

Really this is a cart and horse thing, and unfortunately the cart can't go in front in that metaphorical arrangement.
