Can anyone help me by telling the equation to know what the pH of a solution is? And if you know it can you help explain it. I have no ph strips and no electronic one. Please help

I am not following a "tek". I never have. I just was wondering what eqution was to figure out what the pH of a solution was.

pH isn't an equation,

p is used to show the -log of something

pH = -log[concentration]

there is no equation to give you the pH of complex mixtures such as the one's found in extractions. Either buy a pH meter or just go by feeling:

If you add acid, stuff will be acidic.

If you then add base, it will get less acidic and more basic. and If you add more base it will get basic enough. And if you add a bit more base then you can be sure that everything will be definitely based properly.

OR follow a tek as Parshvik Chintan suggested - at least to the amounts of acid and bases are used if you're a die-hard antitekkist.
