So I just tried a new vendor, and got the worst quality bark I've ever encountered. With the extraction method I'm using which is a tweaked version of 'Cybs Salt Hybrid Method' I usually get about 2-2.5% yield, with this bark I'm getting almost nothing. The pulls are always extremely saturated but the crystals never form & when I take them out of the freezer/decant the naphtha, the residue I'm left with melts within 10 minutes. What I'm left with is some goo which I believe is the usual NMT you get, but most of the residue is very very thin layer of white stuff which becomes a brown goo when scraped up.

The goo I'm left with is much different than the regular NMT goo, when I tried to recrystallize this goo it doesn't dissolve at all, with the NMT goo some of it always dissolves. After doing some reading, I've determined that the goo substance I'm left with is DMT N-Oxide which I intend to convert to regular DMT using the Zinc Dust method found on the FAQ page as soon as I find some Zinc Dust... The naphtha I used to recrystallize is still sitting in my freezer, it is extremelllyy saturated but the crystals aren't forming at all and I'm not sure what to do with it.

I still have a bunch of this bark left and am wondering what the best route for extracting would be. I've read that Xylene is a better non-polar solvent for the N-Oxide, but how do I get the regular DMT? Right nwo I can't get any crystals at all. Also if I do pulls with Xylene, how should I go about doing that? I read one post that said do 3-4 naptha pulls, then 2 xylene pulls, but that's the only post I could find.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the same happen more times than not, with ACRB, even ordered from 4 different suppliers.
I have totally given up on ACRB, and have started growing Acuminata for the long-term, and currently sitting on 5 grams for the time until they mature.
Toluene pulls are better for ACRB, but then you also pull a lot of crud.
In my case, getting xtals in some cases was next to impossible (I would pull with Toluene and re-xtal with Naptha and then freeze precip).
Be sure, you are NOT alone.
I simply threw out my dud bark as it was simply not worth the time.
Some people think that all confusa bark from all suppliers has reliability, when this has absolutely not been my experience. :/
