i'm not sure i understand what you mean by all the details.. the steps i posted has the precise measurements I use. I don't measure the amount of water i boil the plant matter in..it doesn't really matter.. i use a pretty generous amount of water (maybe a liter or more for each boil).. takes longer to reduce.. i just like doing it that way and i figured larger volume is better for pulling alks... i enjoy the therapeutic feel to standing over the brew for longer
ph 4-5 is easily achieved by adding a splash or 2 of vinegar .. (for good measure) to the water .. or a pinch of citric acid will get it there. sometimes i don't even use an acid.. still works fine especially since i boil for quite a long time
no matter what amount of plant material you use I think its good to get it to around 500ml .. this means you can use less NaOH and it means the solvent will come into contact with the alkaloids easily
