I have been planning my first aya session at home with a friend and have already been dieting for two days before our journey later tonight. I had not been taking my vitamins and supplements for a couple of days and last night my calf cramped up bad and I took two capsules of 720mg turmeric which I have been using against cramping. After I awoke I realized my possible error and started to look up info on interactions and the sort. I do not know how to interpret what I'm seeing in general, so my question begs as this; should I cancel and wait or just go ahead with the planned trip. I took those caps at around 3am and planning to go out at around 7pm this eve. I'm fasting today. On my own accord I favor doing it but I am open to reason and much appreciate any help I can get. If I'm strongly advised agains it I'll take that to heart. Thanks in advance.

Whats so bad about turmeric..? It has some mild MAOI activity but i don't see why it would react horribly with ayahuasca

I've dranken aya or syrian rue countless times just hours after taking turmeric and never had any problems. Some people report upset stomaches if they eat too many spices and then drink aya but thats usually just a couple hours beforehand..and for you its well over 12.. so i think you should be fine either way

I so thank you. From what I read I was still going to do it but in many articles in general it is NOT recommended less than 3 days prior etc. so some concern did grow.
