Hello, a question for "advanced" chemists or people that know glassware: Does it matter what condenser is used on top of the Soxhlet extractor? as long as it has surface area and is not straight walled.

Not really, as long as the condenser provides adequate cooling for the solvent vapor to condense it should be fine imo.
