I was taking a walk in Chennai, South India & came across these trees with leaves that looked like this.
If I remember correctly it had thorns. I will upload a pic of the tree tomorrow.

there are lots of fabaceae trees that look like mimosa (even lots of mimosa that look like hostilis).

seed pods and flowers are the best bet for ID, but really any pics of the tree will help.

i don't think anyone can give a positive ID using nothing but leaves.
