Hi, lovely people!

I recently came across these talks/lectures from Ram Dass. I didn't know much about
him before, then some months back I came across a copy of "Be here Now" at a Resale
market, it was a great read (if you could call it that. ha ha).
Then I watched "Fierce Grace" on Netflix.

Hungry... I searched for more.
And found these. 18 or 19 in all. some have 2 parts.
I highly recommend. Not so much about the man, but the message.
I have found a treasure in there.

If you have seen these, what do you think?

If your inspired to watch. tell me after you've watched, or during.
(over 20 hours of talking)

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

I love Ram Dass. I've met him a few times, way back in the late 70s. The former Dr. Richard Alpert used to tour pretty regularly, speaking at colleges and at festivals. He is very warm, genuine and totally unpretentious.

When I was in art school, his books were a big inspiration for me and between he, Alan Watts and John C. Lilly, a whole new world opened up before my eager young mind. It would be great fun to re-visit some of those early rap-sessions (Satsangs). Thanx for the link! Smile

There is no self to which I cling, for I am one with everything.

Fierce Grace is such a good movie; I am glad you watched it.

Made my cry so many times ;]
"Think more than you speak"
"How do you get rid of the pain of having pain in the first place? You get rid of expectations"
"You are everything that is. Open yourself to the love and understanding that is available."
"To see God, you have to have met the Devil."
"When you know how to listen, everyone becomes a guru."
" One time, I didn't do anything, and it was so empty... Almost as if I wasn't doing anything. Then I wrote about it. It was fulfilling."

I just got done watching Fierce Grace... and cried quite a few times myself. I'm continually humbled by my inability to consistently grasp and apply the "simple" lessons of loving/serving others, remaining mindful, and letting go.

Much love to all of you for bringing this movie to my attention.

Thanks for the replies.

For all of you that enjoyed Fierce Grace,
I really recommend the YouTube talks that I posted.

They are a real Gem.Love

They just get better and better. I known it can be
Hard to find time, but I just put them on and listen to
Them while I am doing other stuff around the house,
Like cleaning, making art, cooking etc.

He goes into a lot about his early life, and how his Psychedelic experiences changed his life and lead himTo search for more. Off to India he went and met his Guru.

These talks cover so much, I found myself laughing and crying.
And has lead me into some deep thinking, and inspiration for
Mediation. Like I said, I am on my second listen through them.
And getting new stuff from the material this time around.

I hope whoever listen gets as much as I did.
IMO it is definitely worth the time.Big grin
