My first attempt at an AB acacia yielded little, all goo, but I still saved the goodies to see if I can salvage...
anyway, question is, is it possible to do an extraction on acacia confusa without an acid soak/wash/boil?
Meaning STB.
Has anyone done that before?
As of now I am following cybs tek, still got 150grams to play with.

Crystals sure are sexy but the goo is just as good, if not better. You are extracting from Acacia which has a good deal of NMT which is also active (sometimes 50dmt/50nmt). Enjoy the fruits of all the plant not just the DMT But no STB is not going to give you better results than an A/B with acacia. You can't do anything about yesterday, but you can do everything with tomorrow.

goo all the way... if you let it sit for a few days it'll be wax anyway. i don't bother extracting with shellite now and am much preferring the extract pullefd with xylene. it doesn't look as pretty but it makes up for it in hypersapce

My A/B extracts on ACRB have all been low yield, and mostly goo. Maybe it's the vendor but unfortunately we aren't allowed to discuss such things. Anyway, if it weren't for the goo I probably wouldn't have tried changa. It's my favorite way to smoke now so I'll add another recommendation in to try it out When life gives you goo, make changa!

It is possible to get crystals from ACB. I just got 1.8% yield nice crystals, from an A/B of A. confusa bark. And this bark wasn't even shredded, it was big pieces. I'll definately pass 2% after I shred and fully exhaust the bark. Thick-light's tek followed exactly, with added salt in basification stage.
On my first ACB extraction, I got goo and ended up making changa. It worked well.

On my first ACB extraction, I got goo and ended up making changa. It worked well. I followed Thick-light's tek as well and was able to get good results from AC despite this being my first extraction ever. My first pull consisted of thick goo, followed by fluffy crystals next several pulls.

It worked well. 1.8% yield is great, nice job Was there anything you changed from your first extraction (goo) to the second extraction? Not that I mind changa, but I'd like to be able to get crystals too. When life gives you goo, make changa!

My only issue with yielding messy goo is the difficulty of weighing the goo.
I like to weigh out my leaf material and infuse a 1:1 leaf:goo ratio when I make changa so that the potency of my changa is predictable and consistent.
My scale has a little plastic dish to contain the substance being weighed, and I'm afraid if I try to put my goo on it, I'll lose much of it and recovering with acetone or another solvent may eat into the plastic, and I obviously don't want to smoke plastic...
I wish I could find a little metal weighing dish that would fit my scale.

Maybe just take a piece of wax paper, weigh that, then put your goo on it and subtract the weight of the paper... should come off the wax paper quite easily. You can't do anything about yesterday, but you can do everything with tomorrow.
